Accessory Tools

Centralization, torque transmission and anchoring hardware that keeps a tool string stable, aligned and controllable through deviated and restricted wellbores.

All categories

Torque Thru-Knuckle Joint

Centralizes and stabilizes tool strings in deviated wells

Specifically designed to centralize and stabilize tool strings in deviated wells. Used in fishing operations to add flexibility to the bottomhole assembly, and with its ability to convey torque through the tool string, it's designed to transmit torque generated by the motor.

Locking Swivel Joint

Deploys long tool strings hung off in the BOP

Designed for deploying long tool strings. Used with a deployment sub, the tool string can be lowered into the wellbore and hung off in the blowout preventors on a set of slip rams.

Hydraulic Indexing Tool

Controlled rotation for fishing & wash tools

Used when controlling rotation of a lower string is desired — particularly useful with fishing or wash tools. Functions using a rotating cam system; all rotation is achieved hydraulically rather than up/down mechanical movement, maximizing use in fishing applications.

Hydraulic Bow Spring Centralizer

Pressure-activated centralization

Designed to pass through restrictions in a retracted position. When pressure is applied across the tool, the bow springs expand to centralize the tool string; once pressure is bled off, the springs return to the retracted position. An adjustable sleeve allows the bow spring expansion to be tuned for different casing sizes.

Mechanical Bow Spring Centralizer

Constant-expansion centralization

Designed to centralize a bottomhole assembly inside large tubing or casing while going through a restriction. The centralizer's springs are held at constant maximum expansion, then collapse when passing through a restriction.

Venturi Jet Basket

Retrieves gun debris and loose obstructions

Retrieves gun debris, metal and other loose obstructions that are not millable. Fluid pumped down the work string is diverted through a jet nozzle in the upper section, creating a vacuum-like effect in the lower chamber that sucks in debris and traps it above the cages in the lower sub. Fluid is then filtered through the strainer and returned to the annulus.

Push-Pull Anchoring Tool

Pressure-activated, no ball drop

A pressure-activated device that provides a controlled push or pull stroke once the anchoring feature is activated — particularly useful for retrieving flow control equipment such as safety valves, plugs and sliding sleeves where conventional methods are impractical or unsuccessful.

Quick Connector (CARSAC)

Combination Anti-Rotational Self-Aligning Connector

Developed to allow easy make-up of BHAs and to withstand forces encountered during milling or jarring operations. Particularly suited for longer BHAs where it's difficult to rotate the tools to engage threads.
