Nitrogen Lifting Services

Nitrogen Lifting is commonly used to enable a well to flow initially, or to bring a previously flowing well back on production — nitrogen unloads and under-balances the well until it flows naturally from its own reservoir pressure. Through a simple calculation using known reservoir pressure and completion fluid weight, the overbalance and minimum lift depth can be pinpointed. The same principle applies where a well is intentionally killed (scale squeezes, stimulation treatments) or tends to kill itself (platform shutdowns).

Energizing Fluids is a technique that pumps fluids and acid systems into a well while keeping the hydrostatic pressure of the fluid column below reservoir flowing pressure — allowing the well to flow back immediately after the job, without needing a coiled tubing and nitrogen lift. Energizing acid fluids can also help deeper acid penetration and retard its reaction rate.

Foam Diversion uses foamed base fluids (aqueous based) with nitrogen gas and foaming agents to create downhole foam pads for diversion — pumped in staged slugs between main acid stages to divert acid into tighter, non-treated zones.
